Setting up servers. |
The Provost challenge, was a project that me and some of the new freshman coming in on campus had to work on. We had a couple of topics that we had to put into our project too. I was teamed up with some robotics and game design majors. We decided to make a game about a honey badger and powerups being top ramen, each ramen giving different power ups. We also went through the process of making a one handed controller for people with disabilities and everything worked out good. We even won the whole provost challenge.
Research Project.I was apart of the Greater Phoenix Chamber Foundation's cyber security externship, and it was a 2 week program learning all about cyber security and different companies coming in and talking about their cyber security jobs and what they do. During the externship, me and 2 other participants had to do a research project on a cyber security topic of our choice. We chose to do the JBS ransomware attack and also talked about other ransomware attacks that have happened in the past. This research project had us working with people we have never met before and getting it done with all of us doing our part was a breeze.

I went with one of classes to set up servers at Basha Highschool. We had to help set up servers for their cyber security program that they have at the school. We had to work with the servers in setting them up and adding the software for them to be able to run virtual machines. We also had to configure the servers from scratch and had to put everything in the right place for them to work. We also had some challenges as we needed to figure out how to work the specific servers that we were working with and being new to setting up servers, I did learn a lot and helped out the best i could!
Able2 Project. For one of my finals in my Computer Forensics class, we had to take a document that was provided to us and do a forensic audit on that file. I used FTK imager for the audit itself and we had to search through the documents to find the hidden pictures and document that contained illegal and disturbing stuff. When you put the file into the imager, it shows all of the contents of the file and the drive that it was put on. This shows you deleted files and stuff that is hidden in admin mode. The files were hidden inside a folder that was named a regular program that most computers have so finding the illegal files was a time consuming task, but once you know what you are looking for, its all smooth sailing from there.
